Iraq Casualty Count as of 9:00 PM EST, Thursday, 03/03/2005

Well, “Dear Leader” has hit a milestone of sorts - a sort of Daily Double. In one ten day period, the total American war dead hit 1,502 and the wounded broke 11,000 - and for what? Iraq has been physically flattened, tens of thousands of its citizens, perhaps 100,000 have died, and arguably, everyday life is much, much worse than when Saddam was in power.

We went in there based on lies from our leaders, including the Democrats who were, in their defense, kept in the dark. The sanctions were keeping Saddam in check and might have worked. Are the Iraqis better off with the Americans and the insurgents killing them off wholesale while they have no infrastructure? Would they have been better off if we had never showed up to “free” them?

That being said, three Americans were reported dead today. 1362 Americans have perished since the “Mission Accomplished” sign was hung on the aircraft carrier; 1502 since Bush’s War began. 1675 men and women from the participating nations have died since the onset of Bush’s war.

11,220 American men and women have been wounded, 151 between 2/23 and 3/01. These data come from
Iraq Coalition Casualties who can use your financial support.

Iraqis continue to be blown to bits and otherwise slaughtered by the score, with tens of thousands of men, women, and children killed and the infrastructure virtually destroyed.
