And in other disturbing news:

Oiled and raw, sir, don’t mix

A Kansas City man was charged with a misdemeanor Thursday after Lenexa police arrested him a day earlier driving nude and covered in corn oil.

Larry Darnell Booker, 50, was charged in Johnson County District Court with lewd and lascivious behavior. His bond was set at $2,000, and he asked for a court-appointed lawyer during a Thursday afternoon court appearance.

Booker does not resemble the man who police believe has exposed himself seven times in Overland Park since December. Booker is at least seven inches taller, 30 pounds heavier, and a different race than the flasher.

Booker was arrested Wednesday after a woman told Lenexa police that she had seen a man walking nude around the front of a van parked in the 8800 block of Loiret Boulevard about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police later stopped a van that matched that description on Interstate 435.

Police said the officer found Booker behind the wheel with no clothes on, glistening in corn oil. He told police that he was changing clothes. He was covered in the oil — a bottle of which he was carrying in the van — because he works with fiberglass, he told police.

“Nothing he said made any sense,” said Lenexa Police Sgt. Tom Hongslo.

Driving around nude and covered in corn oil - and nothing he said made any sense. Well duh!

Personally I never drive around in the winter nude and covered in oil. Summer is a much better time for that. Those leather seats are just hellish in the winter - and corn oil! How tacky! I find a light olive oil much more, ah, tasteful. And - there are those who say that nothing I say makes any sense either. Go figure.
